A UV-C makeup bag for your makeup brushes, sponges, toothbrush and razor.

Put your makeup brushes, makeup sponge, toothbrush or razor inside, zip it shut and press the button on the lid. Twelve UV-C LEDs, six in the lid and six in the base, light up everything inside for 3 minutes, then switch themselves off. A small window on the front glows violet while it runs, and the light cuts out as soon as the bag is opened.

Why does it glow?

The violet glow in the window means the UV-C LEDs are on. UV-C is the short-wave band of ultraviolet light, the same kind of light germicidal lamps use to disinfect. The maker rates these LEDs at 260–280 nm and states a 99.9% sterilisation rate.

How to use it

1. Plug it in with the USB cable and wall adapter that come in the box. Away from home, a laptop USB port or a power bank works too.
2. Lay your things on the mesh rack, spread out, and zip the bag shut.
3. Press the button on the lid. The window glows for 3 minutes, then it switches itself off.

UV-C light is harsh on eyes and skin, which is why it only runs zipped shut. Don't try to run it open.
